"Jewish is Joyous!” is our motto—simple, authentic, and at the heart of everything we do.
Our program is built around five core goals:
We want every child to feel excited about Jewish life. TIRS creates an interactive, age-appropriate environment where students learn through hands-on activities, creativity, and enthusiastic educators who help them explore their Jewish world.
Parents are their children’s primary spiritual guides. We’re here to support you.
While students attend TIRS, parents are encouraged to join adult study and discussion groups. Throughout the year, we also offer Kids’ Services, Movie Nights, Family Shabbat Dinners, and other opportunities to learn and pray together.
Learning Hebrew is a shared commitment between students, teachers, and families.
Our goal is to empower students to feel confident with Hebrew prayers—singing, reading, and understanding them. Our curriculum helps students connect with Hebrew in a way that is supportive, structured, and engaging.
We use the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) curriculum, implemented in 2006.
This spiraled curriculum covers early childhood through confirmation and revisits core subjects at increasing levels of depth.
The ten content areas include:
Community
Culture & Symbols
God
Hebrew & Prayer
Israel
Jewish History
Jewish Holidays
Lifecycles
Mitzvot & Values
Tanach (Torah, Prophets, Writings)
Each grade receives 30 class-by-class lesson plans with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities so every learner is included and engaged.
Excellence shapes everything we do—curriculum, programs, communication, environment, and worship.
Children are not only the future; they are the present. Communities that thrive tomorrow invest passionately in their kids today. We are always looking for ways to grow and improve.
When a child grows in their Jewish identity, the entire family grows with them. Together, we can build a strong, joyful, and lasting Jewish foundation—one that prepares our students to become confident, engaged members of the Jewish community.
TIRS meets Sundays, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
